The Sultan's Birthday Bash

We were one of the choir groups that performed at the Belait's Celebration for the Sultan's Birthday. It was the hardest day of my life but also the most fun. Well, not THE most fun but it was good I guess. Despite the intense heat and all.
[Note: Some of the pictures below (especially the good ones) were taken by my friends. So kudos to them for taking amazing pictures of that day.]

On the way to the field . . .

Arriving at the field . . .

the group laughing and talking with their old friends . . .

Lely making 'her' face . . .

Helmi making 'his' face . . .
So this is where we were sent to 'eat' our breakfast . . . It even has its own 'ponds' . . .
We had to move to a different area to eat . . . It wasn't any different to the first place . . .
Look at the happy face . . .

We ate near the kids . . . They were happy though . . .

So this is supposed to be our food, drinks and our 'equipments' . . . Neat, isn't it?
SyamC calling . . . someone . . . ? I dunno . . . :P
At least some of my friends were having fun . . .
The beautiful ladies . . .
Aww so sweet . . . Look at that . . . She's helping her friend pinned her pin . . .

The chief saluting . . . or is he just trying to think cool-ly . . . ? Maybe both? :P
Part of the choir group . . .

Patiently waiting for the arrival of the Sultan . . . Such devotion and dedication . . . I salute you!

But since they were just primary kids, most of the them couldn't withstand the heat. Some had to leave the field to get shelter and some even . . . fainted . . . I guess? Poor kids . . .

The guys took the chance to take a pic before the Sultan arrive . . .
After all the singing and dancing, it finally came to an end. Finally. It was really fun towards the end. With the dancing, laughing, and just having fun. I totally forgotten about the heat. I guess you could say i was in the zone. Then all hells broke loose when they shot the fireworks. Well not REALLY fireworks. More like raining paper. Like I said earlier, it was fun.

Hehe he's tired already. The fun's died out . . . :P

The Sultan shook hands with the public. I shook hands with the Sultan twice. What can I say? I wanted to receive his blessings. :P

The Sultan's son, Prince Mateen.

Haha lol. Poor afiq . . . i guess he didn"t like the raining papers . . . :P
Had picture taken with my close friend, Lely . . .
Taken during the paper 'shower' . . .

After the paper shower . . . Look at all the papers and glitter stuffs. I wonder who cleaned all those . . . hmmm . . .
In the bus . . . getting ready to go home . . .

This is the origami rose(?) I made the day before. I THINK it's a rose. I don't know. It's all crunched up by then.

This was the pic taken by one of the 'pro' photographers I think. Nice huh? I don't know. You tell me.
Anyway, sorry it took me this long to update my blog. Been busy with . . . well, with nothing . . .
Just too lazy I guess. Remember, this happened about three weeks ago so . . . I think it was three weeks ago . . .
So I guess that's it. Check back in three weeks. I should have something up by then. Bye. :P
